How to Make Soya Milk at Home

Ingredients

+ 1 cup dried soybeans

+ 4 cups water for blending

+ Extra water for soaking

+ Optional: Sweetener (sugar, honey, or agave syrup) and flavoring (vanilla extract, cocoa powder, or fresh fruit)

Utensils

+ Blender or food processor

+ Nut milk bag, fine mesh strainer, or cheesecloth

+ Large bowl

+ Pot

Instructions

+ Soak the Soybeans: Rinse the soybeans and soak them in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.

+ Drain and Rinse: After soaking, drain and rinse the soybeans.

+ Blend: Blend the soybeans with 4 cups of fresh water until smooth.

+ Strain: Put the mixture through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to separate the pulp and collect the milk.

+ Boil: Stir frequently while simmering the strained soy milk for about 20 minutes.

+ Sweeten and Flavor: Add sweeteners or flavorings to taste.

+ Cool and Store: Let the milk cool, then store it in the fridge for 2-3 days. Shake well before using.
