+ Soak the Soybeans : Begin by soaking 1 cup of dried soybeans in a water bowl for 8 to 12 hours, or leave them overnight. This process softens the beans, making them easier to blend.
+ Blend the Soybeans: After soaking, drain the soybeans and add them to the blender with 4 cups of fresh water. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
+ Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended soybean mixture through a nut milk bag, fine mesh strainer, or cheesecloth into a pot to separate the liquid from the pulp. You will be left with smooth soya milk.
+ Boil the Soya Milk: Set the pot on the stove and bring the liquid to a boil. After it boils, lower the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking.
+ Sweeten and Flavor: If you prefer a sweeter or flavored soya milk, now's the time to add sugar, honey, agave syrup, vanilla extract, or cocoa powder to taste. Stir well to combine.
+ Cool and Store: Let the soya milk cool down, then transfer it to a clean container. Store it in the refrigerator and enjoy it within 2-3 days. Be sure to shake it well before each use.
